Have you ever had hot-fudge-cake with raspberry sauce? No well it's about time you try it it's good for you because it has chocolate and chocolate is an antioxidant it stops you from breaking down. And it also tastes great.
When I am celebrating an important occasion in my life I like to go out and eat barbecue of course and for dessert I'll have hot-fudge-cake. This cake is very decadent and its creamy and delicious. if they don't have this cake on the menu then I'll get bread pudding with syrup.
I first ran into hot-fudge-cake back in the 1980s when I was driving down to Florida and stopped in Tennessee to go see the fiddlers convention . I just decided to have a road trip.You might say I just made a detour that ended me in a barbecue restaurant where I had some chocolate cobbler also known as hot-fudge-cake.
it was delicious warm and I had 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream on top of that oh I forgot to mention that prior to eating the cake I had a rack of baby back ribs with coleslaw. And to wash that all down I had some Dr. Pepper.
it is served in many restaurants in the United States and I always am looking for. I decided that I wanted to do this at home and experimented with many different recipes and really found one that I like.
Sometimes I have had to eat in a fancy restaurant and there they serve cake with raspberry sauce. In the fancy restaurants they never give you enough to eat. One time I went because of my work to pharmaceutical conference in which I went to this fancy fancy restaurant where they had an appetizer that looked like a lobster but it wasn't the lobster it was a crawfish and it was tiny.
So I was sitting here really hungry after all whole day off work waiting to get the steak and sitting would this tiny crawfish.
everybody at my table were pretending that they weren't hungry waiting for their steaks to get cooked
well I was tired of waiting for my main course of steak so what they did was I called the waiter over and asked him to send me for these tiny lobsters over because I was hungry. So everybody looked at me at the table that I had the nerve to get some more of these tiny crawfish lobster things.
so I was munching away on my lobster meat while everybody was staring at me because they were hungry. So you know what I said to them hey why don't you all order sum of these lobster things also and that's what they did.
so unless it's a real barbecue restaurant or a down to earth restaurant I don't need to go there. I don't need to sit with the fancy chair and have to order a dozen tiny crosses to have one lobster.
So I decided that I am going to make chocolate cobbler with raspberry sauce because I don't like going to fancy restaurants I'd rather be in a barbecue joint any day.
Below you will find my version of the hot-fudge-cake With raspberry sauce
Ingredients For the cake
The ingredients are as follows 1 cup of milk
2 cups of flour general purpose flour
7 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
2 tablespoons of vanilla extract
1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup of white sugar, 2 cups of water 2 teaspoons of baking powder and 2 eggs
Raspberry sauce available in jars in the grocery. If there are no raspberries you can use strawberries or bluberries.
Or by fresh raspberries at the grocer buy a bag of corn starch and have white sugar available
if there were no fresh raspberries and you can buy frozen raspberries in the freezer section
How to prepare
Mix in a large bowl baking powder, white sugar, flour, 2 tablespoons of the cocoa and 2 eggs.
Mix the milk, vanilla extract, and oil and stir until everything is combined smoothly,
Place the mixture into a large ungreased square baking pan
Mix together the brown sugar with 5 tablespoons of cocoa and smear this over the mixture of flour in the baking pan
Bake the cake at 375°F for approximately 30 min. serve immediately with raspberry sauce spread on top

How to make raspberry sauce
ingredients for the berry sauce
you will need 2 tablespoons of cornstarch and one quarter cup of sugar and a cup of water.
You can also do this method with bluberries or blackberries,
Use a small saucer pan and a strainer for the seeds
How to prepare
Mix the cornstarch and sugar together and add one cup of raspberries to the sauce pain,add one cup of water to the mixture and heat on low to medium heat,if the raspberries are not toally covered by water add enough water to cover them.
Heat for around 20 minutes until everything dissolves but doesnt burn. then close the heat and pour your sauce into a strainer and into another bowel. You now have the sauce to add on top of your cake. Very easy to do
