Barbecue-sauce-recipes that are easy to do and tasty to.

Barbecue-sauce-recipes are very different depending on the region of the USA you live in. Some are based on tomato, others are based on hot pepper and vinegar, others are primarily mustard and yet some are a mixture of the three.

The mustard based barbecue-sauce-recipe is what I tasted down in South Carolina it is similar ingredients to other sauces except mustard is substituted for catsup or tomato sauce.

There are homemade-barbecue-sauce-recipes from me based on tomato and from mustard You can make them sweet or you can make them hot depending on what you like.

I like them all so I experiment a lot. Don't forget to leave a comment on your favorite bbq sauce below.

Below I will give you my general homemade-barbecue-recipe. It should taste much better then the bbq-sauce in the stores and you can make it fast.

Home-made-barbecue-sauce avoids high amounts of sugar

Each barbecue-sauce-recipes seem to contain very similar ingredients in similar proportions until you decide if you want it sweeter or hotter. Only you can decide that for yourself.

The benefits of making it yourself is that you can avoid store sauces that are to high in sugars and carbohydrates especially if you have diabetes or are someone who is trying to lose weight.

When I check some of the store sold barbecue-sauce I am amazed to see how much sugar is in two table spoons-greater then 20gm of carbohydrate! Now that is not good for anyone especially a diabetic. here is a low-carb-bbq-sauce recipe

Well we can make our own homemade-barbecue-sauce ourselves without the high sugar content and

artificial ingredients which will be fresh stay

good in the refrigerator for several days

And give you complements at the table.

BBQ-sauces come in several varieties

Thru out the USA based on the region of the country.

These sauces tend to be sweet in

the south and get more spicier as the

Barbecue-sauces head to Texas and the wild southwest. There they are less sweet but have more kick from chili peppers.

Ingredients for Quick Barbecue-Sauces

The main ingredient I use in barbecue-sauces

Tomato sauce

What You need-the ingredients

3 cups of tomato sauce

2 Tablespoons of chili powder

1 cup of apple cider vinegar-

2 teaspoons of brown sugar

one tablespoon of black molasses

(put this in at the end after you turn of the heat)

1 teaspoon of spanish paprika

1 teaspoon of black pepper

1/4 cup of chopped up sweet onions-i

like vidalia-in little pieces

1/4 teaspoon of chinese 5 spice

Cooking the BBQ sauce

Mix all the above ingredients in a medium size pan and cook on low

to medium heat for 15 minutes-occasionally

stirring the mixture. Watch that it does not get to

thick or it can burn.

You will have to sample the sauce yourself with a spoon and adjust salt and pepper as desired.

After it cools put it in the refrigerator and it should be good for a few days-no preservatives and its better then the brand in the grocery because you made it yourself without high fructose corn syrup. You can store the barbecue-sauce in a glass mason jar. What I do is I wash out my glass spaghetti sauce jars and dry them out then store my homemade-barbecue-sauce in them.

Mustard-barbecue-sauce based with mustard great with pork

Again this homemade-barbecue-sauce is specific to the southeast especially found in South Carolina.

Here is my recipe which is the same as the others except we are using mustard instead of tomato sauce.

2 teaspoons of brown sugar

one tablespoon of black molasses

(put this in at the end after you turn of the heat)

1 teaspoon of spanish paprika

1 teaspoon of black pepper

1/4 cup of chopped up sweet onions-i

like vidalia-in little pieces

1/4 teaspoon of chinese 5 spice

Cooking the BBQ sauce

Mix all the above ingredients in a medium size pan and cook on low

to medium heat for 15 minutes-occasionally

stirring the mixture. Watch that it does not get to

thick or it can burn. store it in the refrigerator and its good for several days but it will probably not last that long as you eat your bbq pork ribs
