cole-slaw-recipe that I use every week
I know this cole-slaw-recipe By heart. I have been using it for about 10 years or more don't remember anymore it's just something I do automatically and everybody likes. There are different kinds of coleslaw recipes out there. But I use the one that almost everybody can enjoy.
You know a lot of people today are trying to avoid sugar especially those people that have diabetes. So for them instead of using sugar I put in Splenda. It tastes the same as sugar and you wouldn't know the difference.
So if you're making this cole-slaw-recipe and you want to avoid extra sugar, which is a good thing for people in general even if you don't have diabetes, then you can use Splenda packs.
So my cole-slaw-recipe is pleasing to the eyes because I use several different colorful vegetables but it's not necessary as long as you have the following basic ingredients.
This is what you need to buy from the store
one jar of mayonnaise
one cup of half and half
1 bottle of apple cider vinegar
4 sweet red bell peppers
4 sweet green bell peppers
4 cloves of garlic
5 packs of Splenda or sugar
Now you are going to wash all the vegetables with water.
Peel the outside leafs of the cabbage and give them to the turtle,if you have no turtle throw them out. Now you can peel the cabbage leaves and throw them into your food processor to shred them. Using a food processor is a lot easier than using the metal grater. So I recommend getting of good food processor.
Do the same thing for your red Bell Pepper's and for your sweet green bell peppers and for you carrots. Everything will be shredded and together in the food processor.
With the garlic you are going to have to peel it and then throw it into the food processor also.
You can also buy ready-made garlic in the grocery that's already been peeled but it's more expensive so I just peel it myself. I'd rather save the money for more barbecue meat.
After everything to shredded in the food processor you can add the 4 or 5 packs of sugar or Splenda.
The next thing to do is to add 4 or 5 tablespoons of mayonnaise into the food processor container.
Then the next thing to do for this cole-slaw-recipe is to add one or 2 cups of apple cider vinegar. Now you can mix everything together. Add one cup of half and half to everything.
Then put it into the refrigerator and leave it overnight for the best taste. You will have to experiment with this amount of apple cider vinegar and mayonnaise and sugar to see what you like best but everybody I know loves this recipe.
And that's the recipe . You can try the following:
Optional you can add either a half a cup of grapes or raisins to this mixture if you like things sweet and you're not counting carbohydrates.
If you want to make it spicy you can 4-5 tablespoons of spicy brown mustard.
So try this recipe and I'm sure you'll enjoy.

doesnt it look yummy yes i took a picture of some brisket nd cole-slaw i made so that you could check it out and added some thai peppers so you would have some color,just dont eat the peppers they are to hot and will cause you major heat thy are much hotter then jalopenos!

Easy slaw-A Must at Any BBQ
My quick easy best-cole-slaw-recipe to make in 5 minutes. to me this is a basic barbecue-recipes
My coleslaw is very easy to make. I love good fresh cole slaw and I recommend you make the cole slaw the night before you will use it. This with some baby back ribs and a nice glass of ice tea is to me Bbq heaven!
Here is the ingredients you will need.
One head of green cabbage
2 green peppers
3 cloves of garlic
one bottle of apple cider vinegar
one bottle of half and half
one bottle of real mayonnaise
8 packs of splenda-instead of sugar for all of you on the low carbohydrate diet like me
One food processor-it makes life easy
Here is the one I use
So lets make cole slaw in 5 minutes:
1.wash your cabbage and throw away the first outer layer
2.peel you carrots
3.peel your garlic
4.Get your food processor set up and use your shredder setting and shred the cabbage,then the carrots and then the garlic.
5. I never was one to follow any cup measurements but I will then throw in around one cup of apple cider vinegar and three tablespoons of mayonnaise.
6.then I will throw in around a 1/2 pint of half in half
7.then I will put in 5 or six packs of splenda or sugar if you prefer
8.spin the whole thing around
9 now you can shred the green peppers-this is last on the list because I forgot to put it up on the top now I remembered!
10. okay get a clean airtight mixed bowel and mix everything together again
11.Now take a spoon or a finger-like i do (just kidding) a clean finger and see if it's sweet enough for you...
12.Now put it in the refrigerator with the lid on and let it mix overnight.
That's it-and when you experiment with the ingredients you will find that this mixture stays fresh for at least 2 days-no preservatives and tastes better then any cole slaw you buy in the store!
Eat it with brisket! Eat it with ribs! feed this to your vegetarian friends until they see the light and eat some brisket
Optional try adding some mustard in your coleslaw
I love mustard and I have experimented with adding spicy hot mustard to my coleslaw recipes and I enjoy it. Just add one or two tablespoons of mustard to your coleslaw led it stay in the fridge and see if you like it. Let me know below
