Does anybody out there know why we do a pork-marinade? its to soften and make the meat tender and at the same time give it some more flavor.
Pork by itself has a good flavor but by marinading it it just sings with flavor. There are So many different types of marinades out there and it's just good for us to have a few that we can do blindfolded with different types of meat.
Most marinades contain an acidic liquid such as lemon or lime or orange juice that helps to soften up the meat and tenderize it. In general meat can be marinated for at least 4 hours prior to cooking or will like what I like to do is put the marinades in the evening and cook the meat the next morning.

Asian style pork marinade
Here is a pork marinade that I like because it has a sweet flavor. This marinade goes well with pork tenderloin. The ingredients are as follows.
1 cup of orange juice
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
2 tablespoons of brown sugar 2 tablespoons of cinnamon
2 tablespoons of cut ginger or use ginger powder
1 tablespoon of black pepper
1 tablespoon of galanga this is optional as it is hard to get in the US
If you wanted it spicy you can add some red pepper flakes to the marinade 1 teaspoon
now preparation Of the meat
Place all of the ingredients either in a plastic container or in the plastic zip lock bag and place your meat in there. Put it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours prior to cooking. Definitely cook your meat the next day.
Cook your meat over the grill and check with your instant read thermometer to make certain that it's cooked. With 2 or 3 pounds of pork meat such as tenderloin pork it should take approximately an hour to cook over the grill.
